The Thousand Oaks Rotary Foundation is again holding its Summer Wine Festival fundraiser, with the Ventura County Special Olympics as the major beneficiary.
The event will feature wine tasting, amazing food, auctions/raffles, music and fun. Our event has raised over $600,000 for Ventura County Special Olympics over the past several years and we need your support to raise more to support these incredible athletes.
Ventura County Special Olympics provides year-round training and competition for more than 700 special needs children and adults with varying degrees of ability. It represents sports in its truest sense: the goal is not to win, but to try; and to experience, but not to conquer. All athletes earn an award, a cheer and a sincere “well done.”
Our event is schedule for Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Westlake Yacht Club, 1 pm-4pm, with distinguished winemakers, craft breweries in attendance and Bocaccio’s restaurant providing delectable appetizers. We hope to see you there!!!
